Description

The Product Owner leads cross-functional delivery of digital product features and releases, translating customer and stakeholder needs into clear, prioritized, testable requirements and User Stories. The role maintains a prioritized backlog, facilitates feedback through demos, and ensures non-functional requirements, security, and regulatory compliance are documented and met. Generative AI tools may be used where appropriate to support creation of user and functional requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional product delivery with development, engineering, and UX teams

• Identify customer problems and coordinate solutions to meet customer requirements and drive growth

• Collaborate with Product Management and UX to refine priorities and product direction

• Collect, manage, and prioritize product features and requirements (balancing value, technical debt, security, and compliance)

• Define user journeys and convert needs into clear, prioritized, testable User Stories

• Maintain a concise, prioritized backlog of User Stories and Bugs for single-sprint value delivery (definition of ready)

• Facilitate product demonstrations and sprint demos to validate functionality and inform priorities

• Ensure non-functional requirements are documented, testable, and aligned with objectives

• Ensure requirements include configuration options, defaults, application security, and comply with development and regulatory guidelines

• Apply Generative AI tools appropriately for requirement creation and exercise judgment on usage

• Manage scope against timescales and budget; represent users in digital product decisions
