Description

You will be a hands-on advocate of AI within the team—using AI coding agents every day rather than only discussing AI-assisted development. The role spans modern application development and the analysis, documentation, maintenance, and modernization of legacy codebases, including work where legacy logic is brought into modern architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example in daily use of AI coding agents (development, testing, documentation, and code review)

• Configure and maintain agent setups (rules, instructions, prompt libraries, context files, reusable workflows)

• Share what works via demos, pair-programming, and internal workshops

• Identify repetitive tasks that can be accelerated with agentic approaches

• Bring pragmatic ideas from the evolving AI tooling landscape

• Develop, maintain, and evolve applications across the full technology landscape, including bug fixing and new features

• Use AI agents to write, review, and test code and to analyze and explain legacy business rules and data flows

• Contribute to modernization initiatives and migrations from legacy to modern architectures

• Help shape modern architecture so it can absorb what’s being modernized

• Build and maintain a shared knowledge base across legacy and modern systems

• Design, develop, and maintain backend and frontend features

• Write clean, maintainable code following SOLID and good architectural practices

• Participate in code reviews

• Work with CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments to build and deploy

• Collaborate with product, QA, DevOps, and engineering teams

• Support and mentor less experienced engineers, especially in AI-assisted development

Requirements

• 4 to 6 years of professional software development experience

• Hands-on, day-to-day experience with AI coding agents (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code), including configuration/rules/instructions

• Experience building agentic workflows, MCP servers, or custom AI tooling

• Openness and willingness to work with legacy technologies (COBOL, Delphi, PowerBuilder, FoxPro, WinDev)

• Solid experience with at least one modern stack, ideally C#/.NET and/or React/TypeScript/JavaScript

• Experience with relational databases and SQL

• Practical experience writing automated tests (unit, integration and/or end-to-end)

• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile

• Fluent English (mandatory)
