Description

You will join a backend engineering team delivering scalable iGaming platform services using clean architecture, mature testing practices, and a modern technology stack. The work includes API development, real-time and event-driven communication, and ownership of assigned modules from implementation through production stability. AI-assisted coding tools will support your day-to-day development workflow.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable backend services with Node.js and TypeScript

• Develop and optimize communication interfaces: REST, gRPC, WebSockets (real-time), and event processing with Kafka/RabbitMQ

• Work with Hexagonal Architecture, Modular Monolith, and Transactional Outbox Pattern

• Apply TDD with unit and integration tests (including Testcontainers)

• Work with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB)

• Manage containerized environments with Docker and basic Kubernetes operations

• Collaborate with AI-assisted programming agents/tools to improve daily development efficiency

• Take full ownership for modules, including code quality, code reviews, and production stability

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of commercial experience in Node.js

• Strong skills in TypeScript (strongly typed languages)

• Experience building REST/gRPC APIs

• Experience with WebSockets real-time synchronization

• Experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ (or similar message brokers)

• Practical knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB)

• Knowledge and practical application of Hexagonal Architecture, Modular Monolith, and Transactional Outbox Pattern

• Practical TDD experience and comfort writing unit/integration tests

• Familiarity with Testcontainers

• Very good knowledge of Docker; basic Kubernetes operations

• Basic experience with public cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

• Ability to work with AI-assisted programming / coding agents

• Fluent Polish for daily communication

• English proficiency at least B2

• Independent working style and strong ownership responsibility
