Description

You will work on the One-EPR program, a platform that supports Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) compliance and licensing across diverse European markets. The role emphasizes Java backend development with REST APIs, collaboration with Product/UX/Frontend teams, and improving maintainability, reliability, and performance of existing services. You will also optimize GitLab pipelines and containerized workflows using Docker.

Role Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into domain models and Java services with Product, UX, and Frontend teams

• Design REST APIs and support the transition toward a decoupled microservices architecture

• Improve maintainability, reliability, and performance of existing services

• Develop and optimize GitLab pipelines, Docker images, and automated workflows

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional Java backend development experience

• Experience with Spring Boot and Hibernate/JPA

• Proficiency in React, Next.js, TypeScript, and modern CSS techniques plus component libraries

• Strong REST API design knowledge

• Relational database experience (PostgreSQL or MySQL) and Docker experience

• Clean software architecture and automated testing experience; basic knowledge of GitLab CI/CD

• Ability to work independently and communicate confidently in English
