Description

You will join a critical infrastructure initiative to raise the security level of a platform by implementing a scalable solution for application-layer data encryption tailored to end-customer specifics. The work centers on a hybrid system that protects sensitive data from reaching persistence, providing tenant isolation and efficient cryptographic key management.

Responsibilities

• Develop sidecar components and a central gateway service using Go (Golang)

• Design and implement low-latency, reliable APIs using gRPC for inter-service communication

• Work in Kubernetes: deploy sidecar patterns, stateful services, deployments, and API extensions

• Implement cryptographic mechanisms via dedicated API/SDK (DEK/KEK handling, envelope encryption, secure key caching)

• Design and maintain the persistence layer (RDBMS) for metadata and encrypted key materials

Requirements

• Documented, commercial experience programming in Go (Golang)

• Solid experience designing and implementing gRPC-based APIs

• Advanced understanding of Kubernetes (sidecar patterns and stateful services)

• Practical competence in cryptography concepts (DEK/KEK, envelope encryption, integration with cryptographic APIs)

• Experience with relational databases (RDBMS)

• Basic practical understanding of Istio (Service Mesh) and observability concepts

• Fluent English (spoken and written)
