Description

You will support and enhance a portfolio of web and mobile applications by improving CI/CD lifecycle management, security, and operational reliability. Responsibilities include managing software versions and EOL components, maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines with automated quality gates and security scanning, and troubleshooting build/deployment issues across on-premises and AWS. You’ll also maintain documentation and report on update status and timeline exceptions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage software versions, dependencies, vulnerabilities, and EOL components using Aikido, Renovate, and related tooling (including manual updates when needed)
• Update critical/high-risk components within defined timelines, prioritizing high and critical vulnerabilities
• Manage EOL components by preparing upgrade plans and ensuring no unsupported components remain in production
• Perform impact analysis for major updates and define upgrade plans with Developers
• Maintain and support GitLab CI/CD pipelines based on the Universal Pipeline, including linting, SAST, builds, automated tests, SonarQube quality gates, Docker/Kaniko builds, and Trivy scanning
• Maintain security and quality gates, container/base image lifecycles, artifact versioning and publication, and SBOMs for delivered artifacts
• Troubleshoot build and deployment issues and support releases and deployments across on-premises and AWS
• Adapt CI/CD pipelines to application/technology stack changes and resolve recurring DevOps issues
• Maintain pipeline and operational documentation in Confluence and contribute to monthly reporting on update status and exceptions

Requirements

• 3+ years experience in DevOps/build and release engineering for production web applications
• Strong hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD plus Git and Merge Request workflows
• Experience with Docker, container image management, Kaniko (or similar rootless build tools), and container registries
• Experience with dependency and vulnerability management (Renovate/Dependabot, Aikido/Snyk, Trivy, SonarQube or equivalents)
• Experience with Java build tools (Maven/Gradle)
• Working knowledge of AWS, RHEL, and Docker Compose
• Experience with secrets management using Vault (or similar), least-privilege access, and secure CI/CD practices
• Experience with Splunk (or similar centralized logging/monitoring tools)
• English: Upper-Intermediate or above
• Italian: Intermediate or above
