Description

As a Senior AI Data Software Engineer, you will implement and optimize data ingestion, processing, transformations, and validation for diverse sources and client domains. You will also support next waves of AI adoption by implementing agentic development environments and delivering project business logic on top of the primary data platform. The role includes collaboration with data scientists and IT professionals, troubleshooting data systems, and sharing thought leadership on data engineering best practices.

Responsibilities

• Implement data ingestion from diverse sources using RDBMS, REST HTTP APIs, flat files, streams, time-series data, and SAP

• Research and apply data software engineering technologies for ingestion

• Process and transform data using Spark, Databricks, and cloud services

• Implement agentic development environments for AI adoption

• Execute project-specific business logic via programming supported by the primary data platform

• Optimize data retrieval, develop dashboards, and validate data

• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and IT professionals

• Provide thought leadership on data software engineering best practices and tech trends

• Ensure integrity and security of data sources and platforms

• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade data systems and applications

Requirements

• 4+ years experience in software development with data software engineering technologies

• Advanced knowledge of Python

• Proficient with Spark and Databricks

• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)

• Experience using AI development tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor)

• Strong understanding of JSON, Parquet, and Avro formats

• Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including Cassandra and MongoDB

• Proficiency in data warehousing solutions and ETL processes

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related technical field

• Detail-oriented, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills in English (B2+)
