Description

The consultant will act as a Senior Technical Business Analyst supporting complex CTB change across Risk and/or Product Control platforms. You will translate ambiguous business, regulatory, methodology, and operational needs into clear, testable, delivery-ready requirements and technical analysis. The work spans new product onboarding, methodology/regulatory changes, platform modernisation, data/reporting change, integrations, process improvement, and selected greenfield components.

Responsibilities

• Lead business and technical analysis from scope definition through delivery and implementation

• Translate requirements into functional specifications, technical analysis, data mappings, interface requirements, and acceptance criteria

• Assess current vs target state processes, system flows, data flows, controls, dependencies, and operational impacts

• Produce requirements artefacts including user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, interface specs, test scenarios, and implementation documentation

• Define clear, complete, prioritised, and testable backlog items with development teams

• Analyse data requirements across relational databases, data warehouses, document databases, reporting layers, feeds, and consumers

• Support integration analysis for REST APIs, file transfers, enterprise data sources, messaging, and event-driven components

• Define business rules, calculation logic, validation rules, exceptions, reconciliation requirements, and audit/evidence expectations

• Support testing across functional, regression, integration, reconciliation, UAT, performance, and operational-readiness; manage test planning and evidence

• Identify risks, issues, dependencies, and delivery blockers early with impacts, options, and recommendations

• Support migration and modernisation including data migration, API-led delivery, batch replacement, event-driven processing, and production supportability

• Maintain traceability from requirements through delivery and testing across multiple streams

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a Senior Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, Solution Analyst, or Lead Analyst in complex enterprise technology environments

• Strong experience delivering CTB / Change-the-Bank initiatives across production-facing systems

• Technical fluency to work as a peer to senior developers, solution designers, and delivery leads

• Proven ability to translate complex business/regulatory/methodology/operational requirements into structured, testable delivery artefacts

• Strong understanding of business processes, data flows, system integrations, controls, testing, and production-readiness activities

• Strong data analysis skills including SQL (write or interpret), data mapping validation, and reconciliation support

• Good understanding of relational databases, data warehouse structures, and reporting/data-consumption patterns

• Good understanding of REST APIs and interface contracts (request/response, validation, error handling)

• Familiarity with event-driven architecture concepts (publishers, consumers, queues, topics, retries, message contracts)

• Ability to work with JSON, XML, and CSV

• Ability to define non-functional requirements for performance, resilience, security, auditability, monitoring, supportability, and operational readiness

• Strong stakeholder-management skills across business, technology, methodology, operations, and delivery teams

• Experience in Agile or structured SDLC environments using JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint (or equivalents)

• Financial services or other regulated environment experience is highly desirable
