A snapshot of your key responsibilities as Senior Business Analyst  would be:

·       Engage with business stakeholders to elicit, analyse and document business, process, data and reporting requirements.

·       Facilitate workshops, interviews and requirements-gathering sessions across business and technical teams.

·       Translate business needs into clear, testable requirements and user stories.

·       Document current and future-state processes, business rules, data flows and user journeys.

·       Support data improvement, systems change and digital transformation initiatives.

·       Bridge operational requirements, data governance considerations and technical delivery teams.

·       Analyse and document reporting requirements, data definitions, ownership, stewardship and quality requirements.

·       Contribute to the development and maintenance of information asset inventories and data-related documentation.

·       Produce requirements traceability matrices and maintain prioritised delivery backlogs.

·       Support solution design, testing, user acceptance testing (UAT) and business readiness activities.

·       Develop acceptance criteria, test scenarios and handover documentation.

·       Identify, track and manage risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies (RAID).

·       Work closely with project teams to ensure successful delivery and business adoption of solutions.

Requirements:

• Minimum 7 years experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role.

• Experience delivering at least two relevant assignments in one or more of the following areas: Data Strategy, Systems Integration, Digital Transformation, Reporting & Analytics Workflow or Process Improvement

• A Level 8 degree (or equivalent qualification).

• Strong experience documenting: Business processes, Data flows, User journeys, Business rules,, System requirements, Reporting requirements

• Understanding of data management principles including: Data ownership, Stewardship, Data quality, Metadata

• Reporting and information asset management

• Experience working with internal business systems, databases, reporting tools and workflow platforms.

• Strong facilitation, interviewing, analytical, documentation and communication skills.

• Experience working across business, operational and technical teams to deliver successful outcomes.

Technical Experience

• Experience with one or more of the following technologies is required:

• Microsoft 365

• SharePoint

• Power Platform

• Power BI

• SQL-based systems

• Data catalogues

• Information Asset Registers / Data Asset Registers

Desirable Experience

• Experience supporting data audits, data discovery activities, data catalogues or information asset registers.

• Experience within: Public Sector/ Semi-State Organisations/ Local Authorities/ Regulatory Bodies

• Knowledge of: Change Management, Benefits Realisation, User Adoption, Training and Knowledge Transfer
