Description

Manage and monitor Linux infrastructure across local and remote environments, collaborating with developers and other sysadmins to ensure reliable and secure operations. Implement automation and adopt new technologies to improve maintainability and processes, while coordinating task scope and complexity with stakeholders. Participate in coordinated shifts providing 24x7 coverage of monitoring alerts.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor Unix-like systems (primarily Debian/Ubuntu)

• Coordinate tasks with developers and other sysadmins

• Maintain infrastructure across local and remote environments

• Communicate task scope and complexity to stakeholders and managers

• Adopt new technologies and implement automation for maintainability

• Ensure security and reliability of systems

• Share 24x7 monitoring alert coverage in coordinated shifts

Requirements

• Knowledge of TLS/x509 certificates and encryption basics

• English communication skills (verbal and written)

• Team collaboration skills

• Ability and motivation to learn new technologies and approaches

• Experience in system administration (Debian, Ubuntu)

• Solid understanding of Linux systems and network stack

• Hands-on experience with Git and configuration management tools (Ansible/SaltStack)

• Familiarity with distributed systems
