Description

You will create reliable, review-ready bid cost calculations for security technology offers based on incoming customer requests. You will consolidate cost drivers such as labor hours, material costs, and external services, align offer scope with technical and business departments, and ensure margins remain realistic while identifying technical, schedule, and commercial risks early. You will also document costing assumptions for later traceability.

Requirements

• Several years of experience in bid costing, cost calculation, or bid management (ideally in industrial/technical environments)

• Very good understanding of cost structures (materials, personnel, overhead, etc.) and margin logic

• Experience collaborating across departments (e.g., technical, sales, procurement, project management)

• Confident use of Excel (including complex costing models) and ERP systems, ideally SAP

• Very good English skills for understanding documents and written communication in an international context

• Strong analytical skills and a structured, traceable working style

• Ability to clearly present assumptions and critically challenge them

• High accuracy, detail orientation, and thoroughness when preparing and reviewing calculations

• Experience assessing uncertainties and risks systematically and following up on open items consistently

• Strong communication skills, especially when coordinating with specialist teams

• Proactive, assertive way of working to clarify costing assumptions

• Ability to work structured, focused, and error-free under time pressure
