Description

Lead a hands-on leadership role for scalable, reliable, high-performance distributed systems built with C#/.NET. Own technical design, code reviews, and engineering standards while mentoring a small team. Collaborate with global technology and operations teams to modernize and evolve the platform, including migration efforts toward Rust.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop distributed systems using C#/.NET

• Stay hands-on with software development, technical design, and code reviews

• Contribute to platform modernization and migration from C#/.NET to Rust

• Support integration of new products and capabilities into the platform

• Define technical standards, architecture principles, and development best practices

• Use AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and delivery

• Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance to a small team

• Translate business requirements into technical solutions

• Drive technical roadmaps balancing delivery with long-term scalability and reliability

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with proven technical leadership

• Strong expertise in C#/.NET and distributed, service-oriented architectures

• Understanding of concurrent and high-performance programming

• Experience designing scalable, resilient, high-volume systems

• Willingness and openness to work with Rust as part of the platform’s evolution

• Experience with AI-assisted software development and modern engineering practices

• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools such as Git, Jenkins, and JIRA (or similar)

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

• Experience mentoring developers or providing technical leadership
