• Role: Senior Backend Developer (Team Lead / Tech Lead)

• Focus: Security-aware backend development in C and Rust; hands-on coding plus team leadership (3–5 people)

Description

You will work on designing and developing new backend functionality while taking technical ownership of architecture decisions. Most of your time is spent coding (your tasks, architecture work, code review) and the rest is leading a small team, mentoring and supporting developers and QA. The stack is evolving toward Rust, while the existing codebase in C is still actively maintained and developed.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop architecture for new features (RFC, technical decisions)

• Lead and support a team of 3–5 (developers + QA): share knowledge, mentor, and drive competency growth

• Analyze and estimate new projects, break them down into tasks, and manage delivery timelines

• Ensure code quality and application security via solid design, code reviews, and pair programming

• Solve technical challenges across development, test, and production environments

• Maintain and evolve existing solutions while keeping them consistent and secure

Requirements

• Proficiency in C and/or Rust

• Knowledge of databases and SQL

• Basic knowledge of cryptography and security

• Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix; ability to work in the terminal and write scripts

• Experience as a team lead or in team-related roles (e.g., Tech Lead)

• Ability to manage your own tasks and provide support and/or oversight for less experienced collaborators

• Strong planning skills for your work and others, including setting priorities
