Description

Build and evolve end-to-end applications for time-critical air perishable logistics, working with operational and product stakeholders. You will design and implement Java solutions following agile principles, participate in design and architecture discussions, and continuously optimize production systems. The role emphasizes clean, well-tested code and ownership of CI/CD, containerisation, and cloud deployments.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business processes and design end-to-end solutions
• Participate in design and architecture discussions
• Write clean, well-tested code aligned to engineering standards and the Agile Manifesto
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines; contribute to containerisation and cloud deployments
• Continuously optimize, stabilize, and improve existing Air Perishables applications
• Collaborate with business, operational, and technology teams to improve operational efficiency
• Evaluate emerging technologies and share findings and recommendations
• Participate in sprint ceremonies (stand-ups, planning, code reviews, retrospectives)

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree advantageous
• Strong foundational or production-level experience as a full-stack Java developer, including core Java (17+) and expertise in Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate, JUnit, CI/CD pipelines, Git, Maven, and Docker
• Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern frontend frameworks such as React, TypeScript, and Vue.js; mobile technologies (PWA, Ionic)
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and API/system integrations including RESTful services and Kafka
• Practical agile/Kanban experience in distributed or international teams; ability to work independently, take initiative, and resolve ambiguity
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code)
• Basic understanding of Air Perishables operations and processes (advantageous); good communication skills in a global environment
