Description

You will join the App team behind a travel app and own the backend-for-frontend (BFF) layer written in Go that acts as a single entry point for the iOS and Android apps. The BFF integrates with platform services for hotel search, booking, payment, and trip management, reshaping responses into the structures needed by the Flutter app. You will develop features end to end, collaborate with mobile developers on API contracts, and work with the product owner on scope and estimates.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Go BFF endpoints for the iOS and Android apps

• Integrate with domain services and map/reshape their data for the app

• Support and improve existing backend features and implement new ones end to end

• Convert product ideas into technical scope and realistic estimates with the product owner

• Pair with Flutter developers on API contracts

• Review pull requests and keep the codebase readable and tested

Requirements

• 3+ years of commercial Go development for backend services

• REST APIs experience using a Go framework such as Echo, Gin, or Chi

• OpenAPI/Swagger experience (plus)

• gRPC/Protocol Buffers experience as a client or server (real project)

• Go concurrency: goroutines, channels, sync.WaitGroup, mutexes, context with timeout and cancellation

• Error handling using wrapping errors (%w), errors.Is/errors.As, and custom error types

• Unit tests with mocks (table-driven tests, testify, mockery or gomock)

• Docker confidence; Kubernetes basic understanding (Deployment, ConfigMap, probes) and CI/CD experience (GitLab CI/GitHub Actions or similar)

• AWS experience: S3, Lambda, IAM roles

• Experience integrating with other services (timeouts, retries, mapping and aggregating data)
