Quick Facts

  • Role: Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (Platform Team)

Description

Join the Platform Team to evolve, scale, and maintain cloud infrastructure built around multi-cluster Kubernetes on AWS EKS. You’ll own EKS operations and cluster lifecycle tasks, drive Terraform/Terragrunt infrastructure-as-code improvements, and act as the Kubernetes internals expert for troubleshooting, performance tuning, and security hardening. The team is highly autonomous and cost-aware, with expectations for end-to-end ownership and contributions to observability, CI/CD, and developer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve multi-cluster EKS infrastructure (day-to-day operations, cluster upgrades, node group strategies, capacity planning)
  • Keep Terraform/Terragrunt code clean and scalable; refactor and establish reusable patterns
  • Troubleshoot Kubernetes internals and tune performance; harden security (RBAC, network policies, secrets management)
  • Optimize cloud spend as a first-class concern by identifying waste and implementing improvements
  • Partner with development teams to improve deployment pipelines, platform tooling, and developer experience
  • Evaluate and introduce new tools/approaches when they solve real problems
  • Contribute to observability so teams know what’s happening before users do

Requirements

  • 3+ years administering Kubernetes clusters at scale (EKS required; multi-cluster)
  • 3+ years managing AWS environments (ALB, VPC/networking, EFS, EBS, EC2, S3, IAM, EKS control plane)
  • Experience designing and operating multi-cluster Kubernetes architectures (federation, cross-cluster networking, workload distribution)
  • Strong Terraform and Terragrunt expertise for IaC at scale
  • Experience developing, automating, and maintaining GitLab CI/CD and GitOps practices
  • Hands-on Kubernetes networking experience (CNI plugins, Envoy/Ingress controllers)
  • Strong Kubernetes security knowledge (RBAC, network policies, secrets management via Vault/AWS Secrets Manager, pod security standards)
  • Experience ensuring security, scalability, and high availability in production-grade infrastructure
  • Experience with cluster lifecycle management (upgrades, node groups, capacity planning, autoscaling with Cluster Autoscaler and/or Karpenter)

Benefits

  • High autonomy and end-to-end ownership
  • Private health plan and life insurance
  • 20 or 26 paid vacation days with flexible hours
  • Fitness/sports benefits and an office library
  • Team events and social activities; in-person collaboration in the Warsaw office
  • Opportunity to shape the technology stack and raise infrastructure engineering standards
