Description

You will take ownership of the team’s production Kubernetes infrastructure on Google Cloud. The setup is already running with Argo CD, Terraform, and Helm, and the role is to operate it and keep evolving it. In addition, you will manage CI/CD, monitoring/alerting, backups, incident response, and data pipelines into BigQuery.

Responsibilities

• Operate and further develop Kubernetes infrastructure on Google Cloud (Argo CD, Helm, Terraform)
• Manage CI/CD and deployment of application packages
• Ensure monitoring, alerting, and backups are in place; handle service incidents and troubleshooting
• Maintain data flows to BigQuery together with the development team
• Improve infrastructure security, costs, and documentation
• To a smaller extent, help with office IT (hardware, printers, access)
• Optionally participate in infrastructure work for AI/ML projects

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in DevOps or production infrastructure operations
• Hands-on production experience with Kubernetes and Helm (not only course work)
• Infrastructure as Code experience, ideally with Terraform
• GitOps and/or CI/CD experience (e.g., Argo CD, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)
• Linux, networking fundamentals, and security basics
• Scripting skills (Bash, Python, or Go)
• Ability to work independently—you will be the only DevOps in the team
• Czech or Slovak; English reading ability for documentation
