Description

You will design and own the technical SAP solution architecture for hybrid landscapes across SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP. The role focuses on building and accompanying customer-specific extensions using the Clean Core principle (in-app and side-by-side on SAP BTP) and translating business requirements into technical concepts together with the development team. You will also actively develop with ABAP Cloud and RAP, design integrations across platforms and external systems, and support architecture/governance topics for extensibility, deployment, security, and upgrade capability.

Responsibilities

• Design and take ownership of the technical SAP solution architecture for hybrid landscapes (SAP S/4HANA + SAP BTP)
• Develop and accompany customer-specific extensions following the Clean Core principle (in-app and side-by-side on SAP BTP)
• Convert business requirements into sustainable technical concepts and support implementation with business areas and the development team
• Actively develop using ABAP Cloud, ABAP OO, RAP, CDS Views, SAP Fiori/UI5, and OData
• Create integrations between S/4HANA, BTP, and third-party systems using REST, OData, IDoc, BAPI, and—if needed—SAP Integration Suite/CPI
• Evaluate technical options and decide what runs on S/4HANA vs. what runs on BTP
• Support architecture, development, and governance topics around Extensibility, Deployment, Security, and Upgrade readiness

Requirements

• Completed degree in Applied Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification
• Several years of experience in SAP development and/or as SAP Solution Architect
• Very strong knowledge of ABAP, RAP, Fiori/UI5, and SAP BTP
• Strong expertise in designing S/4HANA extensions and hybrid architecture models
• Solid, pragmatic understanding of integration architecture and interface concepts
• Structured, analytical approach and ability to communicate clearly and reliably with business areas, vendors, and stakeholders
• German and English communication skills at C1 level (verbal and written)
