Description

You will work with the team to operate and manage the change and release process for a high-availability SCADA system used to monitor and control the power grid infrastructure. You will plan system extensions and migrations onto virtualized Linux systems, support requirements and technical concepts at the application level, and help ensure service quality for a critical-infrastructure environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate the SCADA network control system and manage change and release processes

• Plan and coordinate system extensions and migrations to virtualized Linux systems with internal system engineers and external software vendors

• Monitor the overall system and ensure the quality of services provided in the critical infrastructure context

• Contribute to defining application-level requirements, technical concepts, implementation, and audits

• Participate in recurring multi-day on-call duty as part of 2nd-level support and be able to attend on-site within less than one hour when needed

Requirements

• Completed degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or comparable training

• Ideally: prior experience administering and operating Linux-based applications

• Ideally: prior experience with IT project management and coordinating external service providers

• Strong sense of responsibility and interest in critical processes and systems

• Motivated, structured, independent, and analytical working style; comfortable working in a team

• Proficient German and English communication skills (written and spoken)

• Willingness to undergo background and security screening
