Senior QA Automation Engineer (API & Flutter)

Description

You will take responsibility for QA automation, stabilizing the existing API test suite (PHPUnit) and improving reliability and execution speed within CI/CD. You will expand and maintain integration tests running in CI, define what to automate and in what order to ensure release quality, and leverage AI to create reusable test steps and workflows. You will collaborate with developers to identify regressions before they reach production.

Responsibilities

• Stabilize and improve API test suite with PHPUnit (fix flaky tests, reduce runtime)
• Expand and maintain integration tests (integration_test, Patrol or similar) running in CI
• Define and drive the automation strategy (what/how/sequence)
• Use AI to create reusable instructions and workflows to generate and validate tests faster
• Work with developers to catch regressions early

Requirements

• 4+ years of practical test automation experience
• Designed (and expanded) a test framework and owned it in CI/CD
• Solid API testing experience
• Practical knowledge of PHP and PHPUnit
• Experience automating UI and mobile apps with Flutter and tools like Playwright or Appium
• Flutter knowledge is a strong advantage
• Daily experience using AI coding agents (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor), including knowing when outputs cannot be trusted
• Strong ownership and ability to move tasks forward quickly
• English at a level suitable for daily communication
• Czech or Slovak at C2 level
• Hybrid work with required in-person presence at the Prague office for coordination
