Quick Facts

• Role: Social media editor for podcasts Insider and Nový svět
• Focus: selecting the most talked-about moments and turning them into social formats (clips, carousels, text)

Description

You will choose what to highlight from each podcast episode and decide whether it becomes a clip, carousel, or text, with production support for editing. You will write copy for Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, and YouTube and help coordinate graphic requests. You will also monitor the audience/community and continuously learn what people engage with.

Responsibilities

• Select key moments from podcast episodes and determine the best social format
• Support production with clip cutting/editing
• Write social copy for Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, and YouTube
• Coordinate graphic requests
• Track audience interests and improve ongoing content choices
• Prepare subtitles and transcripts (AI-supported routine)

Requirements

• Strong awareness of Czech politics, with interest in energy or geopolitics
• Ability to separate personal opinion from the work
• Editorial or newsroom experience, or experience with social media of media/politicians/think tanks
• Fast, accurate writing with minimal errors
• Strong sense of what makes a sentence/news versus editorial risk
• Willingness to work occasionally in the evening when episodes are produced in the afternoon
