Description

AWS Artifact helps customers and security auditors understand how to safely and legally accept credit card payments and meet regulations for handling confidential data. In this role, you’ll write and operate secure, highly available distributed microservices at Amazon scale, with thorough test coverage and continuous improvement of Agile planning, design, implementation, testing, and operations.

Responsibilities

• Write high-quality code with thorough test coverage while mentoring new developers.

• Engineer systems designed for “Amazon scale.”

• Value reliability practices such as continuous resiliency and capacity testing.

• Design and improve secure, highly available distributed microservices through peer and technical-leader consultation.

• Work on high-visibility Agile projects and continuously improve processes for planning, design, implementation, testing, and operations.

• Own and operate the systems you build using real-time customer data and demanding service-level agreements (SLAs).

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional, non-internship software development experience

• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability, scaling)

• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
