Description

You will help enhance automated multiplayer playtesting by designing and implementing AI bot systems. The role focuses on building reliable bot behaviors, validating them with telemetry and regression testing, and improving maintainability through architecture modernization. You’ll collaborate with designers and QA to translate gameplay scenarios into testable bot actions.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain AI bot systems for automated multiplayer playtesting
• Develop bot behavior systems (movement, combat, interaction, coordination)
• Collaborate with designers and QA engineers to turn gameplay scenarios into testable behaviors
• Build telemetry pipelines for analysis, regression testing, and behavior validation
• Investigate bot failures such as pathfinding issues, network desynchronization, and interaction problems
• Modernize architecture and improve maintainability
• Participate in exploratory ML-driven bot behavior research
• Review code and contribute to engineering best practices

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong C++ proficiency
• Experience with AI behavior systems such as finite state machines or behavior trees
• Proven ability to improve maintainability in complex codebases
