Forward Deployed Engineer

Senior • On-site

Warsaw, Poland

Quick Facts

  • Role: Forward Deployed Engineer

  • Focus: Deploying and securing an enterprise AI orchestration platform in customer environments

  • Key environments: AWS, GCP, Azure, Kubernetes, on-premises, and air-gapped/VPC

Description

You’ll act as the bridge between customer security/architecture/DevEx teams and the platform’s core R&D, deploying and maintaining an enterprise AI orchestration platform across complex enterprise environments. The work includes configuring secure agentic workflows, integrating LLM providers, and embedding semantic code-indexing into CI/CD so AI agents gain real-time context. You’ll also translate enterprise edge cases and security requirements into product improvements and enable developer best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Enterprise integration and deployment: Architect, deploy, and maintain the platform across AWS/GCP/Azure, Kubernetes, on-premises, and air-gapped networks.

  • Security & governance: Configure SSO/OAuth using SAML/OIDC, integrate identity providers, set up API proxies, and enforce SOC2/HIPAA/ISO policies for AI traffic.

  • Model & agent orchestration: Integrate external/internal LLM providers (e.g., Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, Ollama, custom enterprise endpoints) and set up platform CLI tools and IDE extensions.

  • Context in CI/CD: Embed semantic code-indexing engines into customer CI/CD pipelines to provide up-to-date codebase/API/documentation context for agents.

  • Product feedback loop: Serve as the client’s technical voice to core R&D and Product teams, turning enterprise requirements into product features.

  • Enablement & best practices: Define governance, token-usage monitoring, and developer productivity metrics with DevEx leaders and Tech Leads.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional software development experience in Kotlin, Java, Go, Python, or TypeScript.

  • Strong Docker/Kubernetes/Helm/Terraform experience; ability to manage infrastructure on AWS/GCP/Azure or private clouds like OpenShift.

  • Hands-on enterprise security and networking experience: TLS/mTLS, reverse proxies, API gateways, SAML/OIDC, and air-gapped requirements.

  • Deep understanding of modern IDE setups, Git, GitHub/GitLab, CI/CD runners (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI), and CLI workflows.

  • Experience with LLM APIs, AI proxies, agent protocols (e.g., Model Context Protocol), or local LLM runtimes.

  • Proven customer-facing technical presence and ability to drive discussions with CISOs, Enterprise Architects, and Principal Engineers.

  • Willingness to travel to client sites as needed (typically up to 25%).
