Description

You will own QA across Windows, macOS, and Linux, including multi-platform build preparation and end-to-end testing initiatives. The role includes detailed bug logging and verification in JIRA, plus proactive issue research to reduce launch risks. You may also mentor junior team members and help drive workflow and automation improvements.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive functional testing across Windows, macOS, and Linux for games, platform integrations, and tools
• Prepare and support game builds for all supported platforms
• Take full ownership of key testing projects (e.g., multiplayer testing, core game testing, core platform integrations)
• Log detailed, reproducible bugs in JIRA; verify resolutions; create thorough post-test reports with actionable insights
• Research game-related issues during testing to mitigate risks (including potential negative community reception)
• Manage, test, and troubleshoot cloud saves, platform overlays, and related services
• Set up, maintain, and manage testing environments and hardware configurations
• Lead process and automation workflow improvements; mentor juniors; represent the team when needed
• Ensure tasks and testing milestones are met on schedule

Requirements

• Proven experience in software/game testing with a self-driven, proactive mindset and strong analytical skills
• Ability to independently handle complex testing tasks, investigate obscure issues, and manage project risks
• Deep knowledge and experience testing on Windows, macOS, and Linux
• Excellent written and spoken English; strong communication and mentoring capability
• Solid understanding of hardware/software setups, DRM, and emulation tools (DOSBox, ScummVM)
• Demonstrated understanding of game QA testing concepts and best practices
• Active interest in using automation and AI tools to increase efficiency
• Nice-to-have: JIRA (or similar), command-line basics and JSON, and basic programming skills (e.g., Python) or willingness to learn
