Description

Design and implement enterprise-grade API management solutions using Apigee on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will build and maintain API proxies and policies, enforce API governance standards, and troubleshoot/optimize performance with observability. You’ll collaborate with architects and integration teams to connect APIs with backend systems and external services.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement API management solutions using Apigee on GCP, ensuring security, scalability, and high performance

• Create and maintain API proxies, policies, and configurations according to enterprise requirements

• Collaborate with enterprise architects, developers, and integration teams to integrate APIs with backend systems and external services

• Define, document, and enforce API standards, governance guidelines, and best practices

• Troubleshoot and optimize API performance using enterprise integration patterns and observability practices

• Support deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management of APIs in cloud environments

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Apigee (API proxy development and policy configuration)

• Practical experience with OAuth and JWT

• Solid hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform services relevant to API management

• Strong understanding of RESTful API design

• Experience with SOAP integration

• Knowledge of API security standards (OAuth 2.0, mTLS)

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based version control

• Ability to work independently and communicate technical concepts effectively in English

• Prepared to work on a Sunday–Thursday schedule aligned with a Middle East client (Friday off)
