Description

Lead and build a new engineering hub in Warsaw for a Swiss fintech, shaping the local technical direction and staying close to code and infrastructure. As the first hire in Poland, you’ll help build the engineering team, hire future developers and DevOps engineers, and shape the local culture. The Warsaw hub will focus on DevOps and infrastructure, payment infrastructure, and partner integrations.

Responsibilities

• Shape the engineering and local technical direction for the Poland hub

• Stay hands-on with AWS configuration, infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines

• Help stand up and scale the local engineering team and contribute to hiring decisions

• Work closely with founders and tech leadership across Switzerland and Finland

Requirements

• Technical leadership experience in fintech, banking, payments, regulated environments, or SaaS

• 10+ years of professional, hands-on technical experience

• Strong AWS background across infrastructure, security architecture, and DevOps

• Ability to lead and personally contribute to infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines

• Terraform experience for provisioning and managing AWS environments

• Hands-on Kubernetes experience (ideally AWS EKS), plus Helm and Argo CD in a GitOps model

• Practical experience with monitoring, incident response, and operational security

• Experience coordinating a team and contributing to hiring/staffing decisions

• Comfort evaluating code and architecture in modern backend stacks (TypeScript/Kotlin)

• Excellent English communication

• Entrepreneurial and adaptable; willing to work on-site in Warsaw in an early-stage environment
