Quick Facts

• Role type: Hands-on technical leadership (not a classic people manager or full-time developer)

• Work mode: Remote, with openness to occasional in-person visits in Warsaw for key workshops/meetings

Description

You will be the technical reference for several development teams, joining projects as a “floating” consultant/developer when critical implementations, bottlenecks, or difficult problems arise. The role focuses on improving technical quality by challenging decisions and estimates, enforcing technical standards and Definition of Done, avoiding shortcuts and overengineering, and ensuring technical consistency across teams while keeping solutions aligned with business needs.

Requirements

• 5+ years as a Software Developer/Engineer, preferably in a .NET, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript environment (with React/Vue.js exposure)

• Still actively coding and able to step into the codebase and perform code reviews

• Deep understanding of application architecture, CI/CD, DevOps, and modern software delivery processes

• Ability to serve as a technical sparring partner even for senior developers

• Experience making or challenging architectural decisions

• Ability to judge whether proposed estimates and technical solutions are justified

• Understanding of business needs and ability to work directly with clients

• Assertiveness and ability to defend decisions with strong technical arguments

• Ownership for overall quality and results (not only own scope)

• Interest in AI and automation for software development and willingness to increase team efficiency
