Description

Lead the design and implementation of a brand-new enterprise data platform from scratch using an Azure-native ecosystem. You will own the overall data architecture strategy, define standards, and build end-to-end data solutions with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake, and modern tools such as Microsoft Fabric and Purview. You’ll provide technical leadership and governance across engineering while translating business requirements into architectural decisions.

Responsibilities

• Define, design, and drive the architectural strategy for a scalable and reliable enterprise data platform from inception to production

• Architect end-to-end solutions using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake, plus Microsoft Fabric and Purview

• Set architectural standards and best practices; produce reference architectures and documentation

• Provide technical leadership and governance by reviewing designs and guiding data engineers

• Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical leads to translate complex requirements into architectural decisions

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data architecture

• Proven track record leading a greenfield data platform architecture from scratch to production

• Deep expertise in the Microsoft Azure Data Stack (Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Databricks, Synapse Analytics)

• Relevant Microsoft certification in the Data Stack (e.g., Azure Data Engineer Associate / Fabric Analytics Engineer)

• Strong command of data modelling, data governance, and modern DataOps practices

• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments (Jira, Confluence)

• Exceptional stakeholder management and whiteboarding skills; fluent English
