Description

Coordinate WAF onboarding for applications, managing progress from initial request through implementation and production/blocking mode. Collaborate with application owners, developers, architects, infrastructure teams, and WAF engineers to ensure testing, tuning, production changes, and delivery dates stay on track. Support automation and improvement of existing WAF processes, including operational activities like patching, compliance, and Disaster Recovery testing, and coordinate urgent zero-day WAF policy updates.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate WAF onboarding for applications from request to implementation and production/blocking mode

• Coordinate WAF testing, tuning, and production changes

• Track actions, dependencies, blockers, and delivery dates

• Coordinate Change Requests (CRs) and implementation schedules

• Manage multiple smaller technical initiatives/workstreams simultaneously

• Maintain Jira boards, tickets, and delivery backlogs

• Coordinate infrastructure-related activities (servers, load balancers, firewall rules, certificates)

• Support automation and improvements to WAF processes

• Coordinate operational activities (patching, compliance, Disaster Recovery testing)

• Coordinate urgent security changes, including zero-day WAF policy updates

• Improve and document BAU/operational processes for the service

Requirements

• Experience working in a large banking or financial services technology environment

• Solid understanding of how banking IT and infrastructure organizations operate

• Experience working with various technical stakeholders (application owners, developers/tech leads, solution and infrastructure architects, infrastructure/platform teams, project/delivery managers)

• Some experience in technical project coordination/project management

• Ability to coordinate deployments and manage multiple smaller projects/workstreams

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

• Self-sufficient and proactive; able to take ownership without constant supervision
