Backend Engineer

• Focus: Infrastructure-as-code, deployment pipelines, and backend services for an identity and entitlement platform

Description

You will own infrastructure-as-code and deployment pipelines while building backend services for a large-scale identity and entitlement platform. The work includes redesigning integrations so downstream systems retain backward compatibility, plus executing cutovers/rollbacks and validating entitlement/permission integrity end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Repoint OMES and UPMS from direct Salesforce dependencies onto a new backward-compatible API/integration layer (MuleSoft)

• Design and build integration components connecting UPMS/OMES to the shielding layer

• Execute and support two cutovers per system (onto the shield, then at Salesforce hierarchy change), including rollback readiness

• Validate entitlement and permission integrity end-to-end to prevent over/under-permissioning

• Support end-to-end QA and compressed UAT for permissioning flows

• Support entitlement data migration aligned to ~8,800 new Segment Accounts

• Manage IaC and deployment pipelines for entitlement services touched by the migration

Requirements

• 6+ years of DevOps experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling

• Hands-on development in Golang and Node.js

• Proven experience with Terraform / infrastructure-as-code

• Solid understanding of microservices architecture

• Demonstrated experience integrating complex, interdependent applications across multiple systems

• Upper-intermediate English level
