Description

You will build and deliver production-grade solutions using both Python and Java, with one language being your stronger area. The work focuses on turning business problems into technical implementations, guiding the technical direction, automating repetitive tasks, and proactively identifying security risks. Collaboration also includes constructive critique of existing solutions and sharing knowledge with the team.

Responsibilities

• Translate business problems into technical solutions

• Take a multi-step look ahead and define the technical direction

• Question existing solutions constructively

• Work across a broad technical scope (not only a narrow specialization)

• Identify security-related risks

• Automate repetitive, time-consuming tasks

• Share knowledge and raise the team’s technical level

• Stay current with technology developments and deliver production code

Requirements

• Strong experience with both Python and Java (one dominant, the other at good/medium level)

• Java 21+ and Spring Boot 3.x

• JVM internals and memory management

• GCP

• GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine)

• Kubernetes and Docker

• Cloud Spanner or optimized Cloud SQL/PostgreSQL

• Event-driven architecture using Pub/Sub or Kafka

• OAuth2 / OpenID Connect

• Zero Trust architecture

• Software security / identification of risks

• Experience designing and implementing production solutions
