• Work mode: Hybrid; 2 days per week working from an office in Kraków

Description

You will design, implement, and develop backend applications using Java 21+ and Spring Framework. The role focuses on microservices architecture, asynchronous communication with Kafka and/or Event Hubs, performance tuning of distributed services, and PostgreSQL database development/optimization. You will also collaborate with architecture, analytics, and DevOps teams, contribute technical documentation, and use GenAI tools (GitHub Copilot, Google Gemini) to support development.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and develop backend applications in Java 21+ / Spring

• Create, develop, and maintain microservices architecture

• Implement asynchronous communication using Kafka and Event Hubs

• Develop and optimize services running in distributed environments

• Design, develop, and optimize PostgreSQL databases

• Analyze and resolve production/performance issues

• Implement improvements to increase stability, scalability, and availability

• Develop and optimize solutions on Microsoft Azure and Kubernetes

• Create technical and architectural documentation

• Collaborate with architecture, analytics, and DevOps teams

• Use AI coding tools (GitHub Copilot, Google Gemini) in day-to-day development

• Participate in requirements analysis and the design of new technical solutions

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of commercial Java experience (Junior) or 5–8 years (Regular+/Senior)

• Very good knowledge of Java 21+ and Spring Boot

• Solid understanding of OOP and Clean Code principles

• Experience in designing and developing microservices

• Knowledge of Azure, Kubernetes, and cloud environments

• Practical experience with Kafka and/or Event Hubs

• Knowledge of PostgreSQL and backend performance optimization

• Experience with GenAI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Gemini)

• Good knowledge of Linux and basic computer networking

• English proficiency enabling smooth technical communication (B2/C1)
