Description

Hands-on role for a developer with strong experience in both Python and Java (one as the dominant language) to translate business needs into production-grade solutions. You’ll help define technical direction, challenge existing approaches constructively, automate repetitive tasks, and proactively manage security risks. The position emphasizes delivering production code and sharing knowledge with the team.

Responsibilities

• Translate business problems into technical solutions
• Provide technical direction and think multiple steps ahead
• Constructively question existing solutions and improve them
• Work across a broad scope (not limited to a narrow specialization)
• Identify and address security risks
• Automate repetitive and time-consuming tasks
• Share knowledge and raise the team’s technical level
• Stay current with technology trends and remain hands-on by delivering production code

Requirements

• Strong experience in both Python and Java (one dominant; the other at good/medium level)
• Java 21+ and Spring Boot 3.x
• JVM internals and memory management
• GCP and GKE
• Kubernetes and Docker
• Cloud Spanner or optimized Cloud SQL / PostgreSQL
• Event-driven architecture using Pub/Sub or Kafka
• OAuth2 / OpenID Connect
• Zero Trust Architecture and software security risk identification
• Experience designing and implementing production solutions
