Description

Own end-to-end data stewardship and governance for the Employee Care data ecosystem, ensuring source data is trusted, well-defined, and ready for analytics and reporting. Lead source data change management, data quality definition and monitoring, canonical data modeling/taxonomy design, metadata/cataloging, and data asset validation/testing. Partner with HR, IT, Support Operations, and data/engineering teams to align KPIs and business terminology and to support scalable data architecture.

Role Description & Responsibilities

  • Own source data stewardship and governance for Employee Care data systems

  • Map tables/fields to analytics needs; assess data sufficiency and close gaps with platform owners

  • Establish formal change management for schema/field/value/workflow changes with impact assessment, sign-off, validation, and NNIT/regression testing

  • Shape data asset strategy with the Employee Care D&A Product Owner

  • Maintain a living business glossary and align KPI definitions with HR/IT/Support Operations

  • Define and monitor data quality rules, thresholds, automated monitoring, and remediation

  • Lead taxonomy design and canonical data modeling for employee intent and service accountability models

  • Review and contribute to data architecture artifacts and integration/data flow designs

  • Manage metadata and lead data cataloging with complete definitions, lineage, ownership, and usage guidance

  • Define test cases/acceptance criteria and run regression validation prior to production release

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or related field (Master’s preferred)

  • 3+ years in data stewardship, data management, or data governance

  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow or a comparable ITSM/ticket management platform

  • Experience running data change management including regression and NNIT testing

  • Strong understanding of canonical data modeling, taxonomies, and data standardization in complex multi-tier environments

  • Working knowledge of data architecture principles

  • Strong hands-on SQL skills for data quality assessment

  • Experience working in or with Databricks

  • Proven ability to partner with stakeholders to align KPI definitions and business terminology
