Description

You will support the development of new passenger-car, SUV, and light-truck tires for both European OEM and replacement markets. The position focuses on building FEA models from design drawings/specifications, creating mesh models from CAD data, and performing simulation setup plus pre- and post-processing. You will also create virtual models for follow-up dynamic analyses and coordinate closely with design departments and a tech center in Japan.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the new development of passenger-car tires for European OEM and replacement markets

• Create FEA models for PCR, SUV, and LT tires based on drawings and engineering specifications

• Build meshing (mesh) models from CAD data for use in FEA

• Set up and run design of experiments (DOE) series

• Perform pre-processing and post-processing of FEA models

• Create virtual models for further dynamic analyses

• Coordinate and align with CAD/design specialist departments and the Tech Center in Japan

Requirements

• Completed technical college education or degree (Mechanical Engineering or comparable)

• Experience with simulation methods, including creation of FEA models using Abaqus, ANSYS, or similar tools

• Experience creating meshes for further processing in FEA models

• Tire industry experience is beneficial but not required

• Good IT skills (MS Office)

• Analytical thinking with independent, responsible, and flexible working style

• Confident communication skills and international teamwork

• Good German and English skills (written and spoken)
