Description

Design, develop, and maintain automated tests for mobile applications and backends, including functional and integration testing. Test REST APIs and system-to-system communication, verify PostgreSQL data using SQL, and validate integrations with Apache Kafka. Run performance tests for mobile and backend components, identify bugs and edge cases, and improve QA standards while collaborating with development, product, and IT teams.

Responsibilities

• Build automated functional and integration tests
• Test REST API behavior and inter-system communication
• Validate database data in PostgreSQL using SQL
• Test integrations with message-queue systems such as Apache Kafka
• Execute and analyze mobile/backend performance tests
• Identify defects, edge cases, and non-obvious issues
• Develop QA strategies and testing standards; improve the testing process
• Collaborate with developers, product, and IT teams
• Prepare clear test reports
• Share knowledge and mentor less experienced team members

Requirements

• Several years of experience in test automation
• Experience testing mobile apps, especially interaction-based automation
• Backend testing experience (microservices and monolith)
• Strong Java and/or JavaScript skills
• Practical REST API testing knowledge
• PostgreSQL and SQL experience
• Kafka (or similar) message-queue knowledge
• Automation tooling knowledge (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, REST Assured)
• Cucumber/Gherkin familiarity
• CI/CD experience (Jenkins or GitLab CI)
• JMeter and baseline performance testing knowledge
• Authentication/authorization knowledge (OAuth2 and tokens)
• Ability to analyze test results and derive quality-related conclusions
