The Philosophy of Artificial Intelligence

AI builds value. Generative AI in business increases the value of the company by automating processes. The use of AI agents will soon be as common as the Internet.

To obtain a decent return on investment, you need to consistently analyze where it has the greatest application. Access to technology is getting cheaper, so using solutions based on Artificial Intelligence even in the smallest enterprises is not a problem at present.

The key is to answer the question: what processes in the company do we want to automate and what return on investment will it bring. In this way, we will avoid overinvestment and spend the budget rationally. We will also free up additional resources in the company.

Is it worth doing it yourself? Relying on open models and experimenting on your own can be risky. It may turn out that we are trying to force open doors and someone is already doing it faster, better and cheaper. That is why it is worth using consulting from experienced companies that implement AI solutions.

Often, experienced providers have ready-made solutions at their disposal that can be put together very quickly, like a puzzle, and applied to specific tasks. It doesn't matter what industry you operate in. The AI revolution will affect you to a greater or lesser extent.

Michael Schrage and David Kiron, in one of the latest issues of the "MIT Sloan Management Review" magazine, pointed out that the philosophy of artificial intelligence is very important. Ultimately, it is people who decide how they reason about digital technologies, how they predict, create, and introduce innovations.

Therefore, before using it, it is worth spending some time analyzing - what we want to achieve with the implementation, what goals we set for ourselves, what results we expect. As an example of a failed implementation, they cite the old Gemini AI model, which contained false data for training generative AI.

It turned out that it was based on woke ideology and assumptions of political correctness. In this way, users learned that the American Founding Fathers or Vikings were Black or Asian. The dogma of racial or gender diversity provided users with false data, ridiculing the company and historical truth.

Isn't that what we're after? That's why we should be rational, truthful, and honest when planning investments in artificial intelligence. We'll save ourselves not only wasted money but also ridicule and mockery for implementing a technological innovation but not knowing how to use it.
