Description

You will deliver high-quality embedded C code for suspension and damping actuator control using vehicle sensors, impacting ride comfort, handling, stability, and enabling precise autonomy trajectories. The work includes integrating sensing and motor control, implementing embedded safety mechanisms, and collaborating across vehicle dynamics, motor controls, safety systems, and embedded software engineering. You’ll build, debug, and optimize firmware running on real hardware.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality C code in a real-time embedded environment

  • Specify, design, and implement embedded subsystem functionality and behaviors

  • Design software architecture and implement firmware through integration and testing

  • Collaborate with Vehicle Dynamics Engineers to implement sensing, actuation, and controls for desired vehicle dynamics

  • Perform hands-on hardware bring-up, system debugging, and code optimization

  • Develop unit and component-level tests

  • Make performance and optimization trade-offs to meet product requirements

Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronic Systems, with graduation between May 2027 and May 2028

  • Minimum 12 weeks, full-time (40 hours/week), on-site availability

  • Proficiency in C; comprehension of Python

  • Software fundamentals including design and maintainability

  • Experience with real-time operating system development

  • Experience with embedded microprocessor tools

  • Experience with testing, debugging, and working directly with hardware

  • Experience with controls software and algorithm development

  • Knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals including circuit analysis and design

  • Ability to collaborate and communicate complex technical concepts

Expected Compensation
