Description

You will join the Master Data Technology team within Finance IT to deliver, implement, and improve SAP MDG solutions.

The role focuses on shaping efficient master data processes by designing, configuring, and enhancing MDG data models, validations, workflows, and change request processes.

You will also support integrations, testing, documentation, rollout, and functional troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Provide SAP MDG solution recommendations based on business requirements, scope, and organizational standards

• Take responsibility for functional design and configuration

• Gather requirements with business stakeholders and IT colleagues, assess impacts/gaps, and translate business needs into SAP MDG solutions

• Design, configure, and enhance MDG data models, validations, workflows, and change request processes

• Define and deliver integrations, extensions, CDS views, and OData services with developers and other SAP professionals

• Plan and execute testing (unit, integration, functional) and support the successful rollout of solutions

• Prepare functional and technical documentation, present solution concepts, and support knowledge transfer and training

• Provide functional support and troubleshooting for SAP MDG solutions; identify improvement opportunities to enhance stability, efficiency, and quality

• Use problem-solving and critical thinking to deliver scalable solutions to complex business and technical challenges

Requirements

• Strong experience with SAP MDG, including data modeling, process modeling, workflows, BRF+, and Fiori applications

• Solid understanding of master data governance (data quality, validation, harmonization, replication)

• Experience designing and implementing SAP MDG solutions for advanced scenarios (hierarchy management, mass data changes, process automation)

• Hands-on MDG implementation experience, especially in Data Modeling, User Interfaces, and Process Modeling

• Experience with SAP MDG on S/4HANA on premises (SAP MDG Cloud is an advantage)

• Ability to adapt to evolving SAP technologies and contribute to continuous improvement

• Strong communication and stakeholder management; translate business requirements into effective SAP MDG solutions

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work independently with ownership while collaborating as a team player

• Proactive, structured approach and ability to collaborate with international and remote stakeholders

• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills
