Description

You will develop processes, standards, and technical capabilities so applications consume CSP services securely and reliably across Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AWS, and Microsoft Azure. You will lead a globally distributed DevOps team, drive automation and workload reduction, and ensure security, risk, regulatory, and business continuity requirements are met. You will own support scope, escalations, and performance reporting against KPIs and SLAs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead direct reports (role definition, hiring, objectives, performance reviews)

  • Define and refine the Cloud Operations support scope

  • Own management reporting against KPIs and SLAs; track initiatives for continuous improvement

  • Own and manage escalations

  • Train and develop a globally distributed, highly technical team

  • Ensure non-functional and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) requirements meet business needs

  • Ensure platforms meet the operational risk framework

  • Ensure architecture governance, policy, and standards are met

  • Represent the platform teams with internal IT partners and with Google, AWS, and Azure

  • Maintain internal engineering knowledge bases and document key implementation decisions

  • Gather requirements and provide continuous feedback loops between customers and Operations

Requirements

  • Operations management experience in an enterprise organization

  • Managed teams of at least 10 people

  • Demonstrable knowledge of non-functional requirements

  • Demonstrable CSP experience across infrastructure build/configuration: Compute, Containers/Container OS, Container orchestration (e.g., Docker, COS, GKE), Storage, IAM, SDN (VPC, XPN)

  • Experience with CI, CD, and continuous testing techniques/tools

  • Understanding of physical and software-defined networks

  • Understanding of Identity and Access Management principles/tools including RBAC and organizational hierarchies

  • Understanding of operating systems and container technologies

  • Experience in a global, cross-functional service management team and across multiple support groups

  • Experience in an enterprise Financial Services company

  • Strong customer and stakeholder focus and ability to build relationships with application and IT teams

  • Strong leadership and teamwork in an agile environment

  • Focus on operational effectiveness aligned to approved security/risk/regulatory standards

  • Track record of continuous improvement and implementing change

  • Proven ability to set and exceed challenging short-, medium-, and long-term goals

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills

  • Track record of building effective cross-business networks based on trust

  • Comprehensive understanding of IT and business risk management

  • Demonstrable qualitative and quantitative management reporting

  • Experience with budget planning and management
