Description

You will be responsible for designing, modeling, and continuously developing the organization-wide enterprise architecture for the judiciary. You will translate business/process, organizational goals, and requirements into architecture models and technology solution approaches, and govern standards, principles, and architectural decision processes. The role also includes analyzing complex IT landscapes and evaluating cloud-native architectures for security, cost, operational readiness, and future suitability.

Responsibilities

• Conception, modeling, and ongoing development of cross-cutting enterprise architecture covering business, process, information, application, and technology architecture

• Translate legal/business requirements and organizational objectives into workable architecture models and solution concepts

• Analyze complex and heterogeneous IT environments and derive organization-wide development roadmaps

• Define, establish, and continuously update architecture principles, standards, and guardrails across processes, information, applications, interfaces, and technologies

• Handle particularly complex and novel architecture questions, resolving cross-domain target conflicts

• Assess modern technologies and architectural styles, especially cloud, microservices, and containers, considering security, cost, operability, and future-proofing

• Perform architectural review and technical approval of key IT and digitalization initiatives; evaluate and document deviations from target architecture and standards

• Implement organization-wide architecture management, including mandatory review/coordination/decision procedures

• Advise leadership, specialist units, projects, and IT teams; document and communicate core architecture decisions

Requirements

• University degree in IT-focused discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Business Informatics, Mathematics, Physics, or comparable)

• Several years of enterprise architecture management experience, including frameworks, EAM tools, and standards

• Strong cloud computing knowledge and related technologies (containers, microservices, BizDevSecOps, CI/CD, cloud management)

• Experience in creating and conceiving IT solution architectures

• Desirable: experience in or for public administration IT projects

• Good grasp of current IT market developments and trends

• Strong analytical and conceptual skills, negotiation ability

• Excellent written and verbal communication in German and English

• Willingness for continuous learning and occasional business travel

• Very good work organization

• Desirable: relevant certifications such as TOGAF or COBIT
