Description

The Department of Radiation Oncology is seeking a CAMPEP-trained medical physicist to join the faculty at the Clinical Instructor/Assistant Professor level. The role supports a modern clinical environment and a rapidly growing medical physics division, including recent Varian Eclipse/ARIA RTM upgrades and upcoming LINAC and CT simulator installations/replacements. Clinical and research focus areas include treatment planning, dosimetry, instrumentation, QA/QC, proton therapy, FLASH, optimization, and Monte-Carlo simulations.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to clinical medical physics activities including treatment planning and dosimetry

• Support QA/QC and instrumentation work within the radiation oncology program

• Participate in research and academic activities in areas such as proton therapy, FLASH, optimization, and Monte-Carlo simulations

Requirements

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Medical Physics or a related field

• Completion of a CAMPEP-accredited residency program in medical physics

• Board eligible or board certified by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) in Therapeutic Medical Physics
