Description

Provide expert ambulatory care and radiation therapy expertise within a Colorado healthcare system. Plan and deliver radiation treatments, including external beam, brachytherapy, and other advanced modalities, while keeping medical records aligned with current policy standards. Ensure compliance with managed care and Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement requirements and contribute to quality improvement, medical staff committees, and community benefit/charity care.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert ambulatory care

• Plan and deliver radiation treatments (external beam, brachytherapy, advanced modalities)

• Manage medical records according to current policies

• Comply with managed care programs and federal/state reimbursement plans (including Medicare and Medicaid)

• Follow ethical and religious directives

• Lead and participate in clinical quality improvement activities

• Engage in medical staff committees

• Provide on-call coverage when assigned

Requirements

• MD or DO

• Completed residency or fellowship commensurate with radiation oncology specialty

• Obtain and maintain an unrestricted DEA registration

• Board certified or board eligible in radiation oncology (board acceptable to the hospital)

• Active Colorado medical license (or eligibility to obtain one)

• DR-current and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the applicable state

• Obtain medical staff privileges within the health system at the sponsoring institution

• Willingness to travel (0.5 FTE Pueblo and 0.5 FTE Colorado Springs)
