Description

Design and continuously evolve a scalable, future-ready commercial data architecture that is AI-ready and supports Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, and Commercial Operations. You will build commercial service backbone data products, define data models and semantic standards, and govern integrations via events and APIs. You will collaborate across enterprise architecture, product ownership, engineering, and business stakeholders to align roadmaps and governance.

Responsibilities

• Design and continuously evolve a scalable Commercial Service Backbone supporting multiple business applications and data products

• Create and maintain conceptual, logical, and domain data models, taxonomies, ontologies, and data standards

• Define architecture for key commercial entities (customer data, master data, customer interactions, service entitlements, commercial contracts)

• Apply Domain-Driven Design (DDD) to establish scalable, clearly separated business domains

• Define event-driven integration patterns and API-based communication across commercial platforms and analytics environments

• Establish semantic standards for enterprise analytics, business reporting, and AI-driven use cases

• Ensure commercial data products are designed for reliable consumption by advanced analytics and AI solutions

• Collaborate with Enterprise Architects, Product Owners, Data Engineers, and Business Stakeholders

• Drive and maintain Architecture Decision Records (ADR) and contribute to architecture governance

• Modernize legacy data platforms, reduce technical debt, and improve scalability

• Promote best practices in data architecture, governance, metadata management, data lineage, and data quality

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Solution Architecture, or Enterprise Data Management

• Experience designing and governing enterprise-scale data platforms supporting multiple business applications

• Advanced conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling

• Practical experience with Master Data Management (MDM) solutions

• Strong understanding of commercial business domains (Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Commercial Operations)

• Experience with cloud-based platforms such as Snowflake, AWS, Azure Data Lake, or similar

• Hands-on Event-Driven Architecture and messaging technologies such as Kafka, AMQP, or MQTT

• Experience designing and governing REST and/or GraphQL APIs

• Strong knowledge of SQL, DBT, and modern data engineering ecosystems

• Knowledge of AI-ready data architectures, semantic layers, metadata management, data lineage, and governance frameworks

• Familiarity with architecture governance practices (ADRs, Fitness Functions, enterprise architecture frameworks)

• Knowledge of GDPR and data protection principles in regulated environments

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or related field
