Description

You will develop and extend both the frontend and backend of applications using the JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystem. You’ll also design, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines so code reaches production through the workflows you help build and fully understand. The role includes deployment automation, containerization, observability, and cloud cost awareness.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve application frontend and backend (React, Next.js, Node.js)

• Automate CI/CD: design, optimize, and maintain build and deployment processes with GitHub Actions (workflow validation, job matrices, and reducing build time and cost)

• Expand multi-stage deployment flow: Test → UAT → Prod

• Automate ephemeral environments for Pull Requests

• Support zero-downtime database migrations

• Containerize services: optimize and create container images (multi-stage builds, layer control, minification, reproducible builds)

• Manage Azure cloud services (Container Apps/Jobs, Blob Storage, Key Vault, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, Azure Container Registry)

• Secure CI/CD: implement OIDC-based authentication, harden permissions, isolate CI runners, and keep quality gates with a fail-closed approach

• Improve observability (structured logging, metrics, alerts) and apply FinOps practices, including control/optimization of cloud and AI token usage costs

• Maintain code quality through Code Review, repository hygiene (PR limits), and automated reviewer assignment based on change-risk analysis (including AI-generated code)

Requirements

• Very strong production experience with TypeScript and Node.js

• Experience with React and Next.js (App Router)

• SQL knowledge and experience with PostgreSQL

• Efficient work with GitHub Actions

• Practical experience with Docker

• Experience with any public cloud and openness to working with Azure

• Understanding of the fail-closed principle in security design

• Ability to treat CI as enforcement for quality and security, not only build automation

• Basic observability knowledge (logs, metrics, alerts)
