Description

In this role, you will design and develop architecture and implement new business-driven functionality for a cloud-native, open-source-based issue/ticket handling system. You will integrate with legacy and partner systems via available REST/SOAP APIs and work in Kubernetes environments (on-premise and Google Cloud) using GitOps. You will also create and maintain unit and integration tests, troubleshoot issues, and help improve engineering standards, quality, and security.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop the solution architecture, including choosing components used to implement the solution
• Implement new features based on business requirements
• Design, implement, and maintain unit and integration tests
• Diagnose and resolve problems
• Co-create standards and best practices for the software being built
• Maintain code quality and security
• Participate in sprint planning and task estimation

Requirements

• At least 5 years of commercial experience in Java and the Spring framework
• Knowledge of Angular, HTML, CSS, TypeScript, and JavaScript
• Experience building new APIs and integrating with existing REST/SOAP APIs
• Knowledge of SQL and PostgreSQL
• Experience with workflow engines such as Camunda, Activiti, or similar
• Basic knowledge of Docker/Podman/Kubernetes to run a developer environment
• Experience with IntelliJ IDEA and Visual Studio Code
• Experience with Git, GitLab, and GitLab CI/CD
• Ability to design systems and implement changes based on business requirements
• Teamwork skills and ability to communicate with business stakeholders
