Description

You will lead the technical direction of a data platform with a strong focus on Databricks, including designing key functionalities, modernizing infrastructure, and optimizing performance. The role includes building and automating critical components and frameworks, resolving technical issues, and improving code quality through reviews. You will mentor developers, reduce technical debt, and promote DevOps practices while working closely with the business and the Product Owner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical aspect of the data platform (especially Databricks)
• Implement critical components and frameworks
• Troubleshoot technical problems
• Design key platform functionalities
• Drive the modernization of Databricks infrastructure
• Optimize the platform for performance
• Support and lead the development team
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and the Product Owner
• Apply best practices, ensure code quality, and perform code reviews
• Create shared frameworks and libraries
• Automate processes
• Reduce technical debt
• Promote DevOps practices

Requirements

• Computer science education
• Several years of practical experience in data engineering
• Experience managing a team
• Proficiency in Python and SQL
• Knowledge of Spark
• Very good English (min. B2/C1)
• Deep expert knowledge of data architecture
• Agile experience (preferred)
• Proactive working style
