Role description

Develop and maintain highly complex software programs for PLC-controlled machinery. Ensure programming methods follow defined standards, lead automation concepts for multiple functions, and collaborate with engineering teams across commissioning and process automation.

Responsibilities

• Develop PLC software programs for complex systems (Siemens, Beckhoff)
• Own responsibility that programming methods and guidelines comply with the defined standards
• Create and implement concepts for automatic and calibration functions, collision avoidance, product tracking, recovery & rework
• Mentor team members with less professional experience and integrate them into the development process
• Work closely with other departments (commissioning, construction, electrical planning, process commissioning)
• Qualify and approve automation solutions
• Optimize automation function sequences and processes

Requirements

• Completed studies (e.g., electrical engineering or technical computer science) or comparable education with technician training in automation technology, plus relevant work experience
• Experience in automation engineering and excellent machine-oriented programming skills (e.g., Structured Text)
• Initiative and motivation to continuously improve processes and find solutions to problems through structured analysis
• Willingness to travel to worldwide locations
• Organized and independent working style with very good communication in English
