Description

You’ll lead the technical development of a specific area of an e-commerce and integration platform, taking improvements from identifying bottlenecks to getting them into production. You’ll be hands-on—designing, programming, and technically guiding work as needed—often starting with investigation or a PoC and aligning the team on options, costs, and trade-offs. AI is a practical focus in both the product and the engineering workflow.

Responsibilities

• Own a defined area of the platform end-to-end: understand how it works and how it fits into the whole

• Find what can be improved, name the problem, propose solutions, and drive them to production

• Run research/PoCs when needed; present options with costs and compromises; coordinate implementation across developers

• Guide technical discussions to a shared decision; listen to feedback and adapt direction

• Support AI-related initiatives, including integrating an AI assistant in administration and accelerating specification/integration bridge preparation

Requirements

• Strong production experience with PHP (preferably with Laravel or Symfony)

• Ability to design systems and clearly explain why a solution is appropriate

• Demonstrated ownership: clarify requirements, propose direction, involve others, deliver results

• Initiative and judgment about ROI—able to recognize when a change is not worth the cost

• Experience delegating with clear context and maintaining accountability for the overall outcome

• Practical AI experience; advantage if you deployed LLM solutions to production and handled reliability, quality evaluation, cost, and data security
